HOLY WEEK

Holy Thursday, March 20, 2008

7:00PM - Mass of he Lord's Supper. Procession will be followed by Adoration which will continue until 11:00PM. A central ritual on Holy Thursday is the re-enactment of the Washing of the Feet reminding us that we must be of service to one another. This ritual is given to us as an image and experience of mutual ministry. As a service to others, we suggest you bring new bath size towels to be donated to those who are in need. The towels may be left in the rear of the church.

Good Friday, March 21, 2008

3:00PM - Stations of the Cross. The young people of the parish will lead us in prayer.

7:00PM - Celebration of the Lord's Passion. The service includes the proclamation of the Gospel of the Passion according to St. John, the Veneration of the Cross and Holy Communion. Anyone who is available following the Good Friday service is asked to stay and help set up for Easter.

Holy Saturday, March 22, 2008

9:00AM - Morning Prayer.

NO 4:00 MASS

8:00PM - Easter Vigil. The vigil consists of the Service of the Light, the Service of the Word, the Service of Water with the Baptism of our three Catechumens and the renewal of baptismal promises and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. We invite you to bring a bell to be rung at the Gloria to celebrate the Resurrection.

Any individual or family interested in helping to bring up flowers, plants, etc at the Easter Vigil Service should sign up at the rear of the church or at the rectory. You must be available for a 1:00PM rehearsal on Holy Saturday. We are asking all of our wonderful bakers to provide goodies.
